EcoCamp recently had its ISO 14001 certification renewed following its successful triennial recertification process. EcoCamp has now held this international environmental management standard for six years, since April 2007, and will have been certified for nine years when it reaches its next recertification process in 2016.
Cascada is proud to announce that EcoCamp Patagonia is the latest official supporter of the Long Run, an initiative designed to support responsible and sustainable projects around the world. The Long Run initiative is the flagship initiative of the Zeitz Foundation, a non-profit organisation working to promote the 4C’s of sustainability - Conservation, Culture, Community & Commerce.
EcoCamp Patagonia has been announced as the runner up in Virgin Holidays Responsible Tourism Awards 2012 in the category Best in a Mountain Environment! Being highly commended by judges is an honour for EcoCamp who were also highly commended in 2009 and have continued to innovate their sustainable technology and ecological initiatives each year from their opening in 2001 until the present day.
In a ceremony hosted last night in Santiago by Chile’s Federation of Tourism Businesses (Fedetur.org), EcoCamp Patagonia was awarded Chile’s Most Sustainable Tourism Company prize for 2012. The prize was received by EcoCamp's proud owners Javier Lopez, Yerko Ivelic and Nani Astorga.

EcoCamp Patagonia has been certified by SGS as complying with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, ensuring the highest standards of management principles are met.
EcoCamp has been simultaneously certified with a Quality Seal from Chile's tourism subsecretary (part of SERNATUR), complying with the high quality standards outlined for a nature centre or tourist lodge.
